Latinos are 1.5 times more likely to develop dementia compared to non-Latino White adults. Non-pharmacological interventions have been developed and tested to support caregivers of people living with dementia, but they are limited by the underrepresentation of Latinos. This study will pilot test a program that teaches Latino caregivers how to manage behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia.
The purpose of the study is to pilot test the program with Latinos providing care to a family member who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.
Participants will:
-Complete online surveys.
-Complete a 7-week program online.
-Participate in an interview.
