Previous genetic testing for the APOE gene that showed the presence of one or two copies of the APOE-e4 gene.
About the Study:
The study is seeking individuals for a telephone interview. This interview will explore the reasons for having testing, the testing process itself, and any benefits or problems that resulted from obtaining the test results.
The purpose of this study is to help guide the development of policies surrounding genetic testing for Alzheimer’s risk.
What is Involved:
Participants will be interviewed by telephone for a period of time ranging from a half-hour to one hour. Audio-recording of the interviews will be carried out if permission to do so is given. Otherwise, written notes will be taken. Participant privacy will be protected. No publications or presentations based on this research will contain any personally identifiable information.
