Eligibility Requirements

You may be eligible for the BrainHealth Project if you meet the following criteria:

  • Adults 18+
  • Are interested in getting proactive about their brain’s health
  • Want to learn strategies to strengthen brain performance
  • Have access to the internet

About the Study:

The BrainHealth Project leverages nearly three decades of research led by Sandra Bond Chapman, PhD, Distinguished Professor and Chief Director of the Center for BrainHealth.

It digitizes and streamlines BrainHealth’s proprietary brain health measure (the BrainHealth Index) and evidence-based brain training protocol, administered by trained BrainHealth coaches.

Participants start by getting a BrainHealth Index (a set of assessments), then meet virtually with their BrainHealth coach to get feedback on the results and begin training to create new brain-healthy habits. Once personal goals are set, participants engage with a variety of content delivered online to build brain fitness. Progress is stored on a personalized, password-protected dashboard.

Purpose:

The purpose of the BrainHealth Project is to:

  • DEFINE brain health based on a modern, holistic understanding of the upward potential of the human mind.
  • MEASURE brain health with the novel, multi-faceted BrainHealth Index™ that tracks progress toward personalized brain fitness goals.
  • ENHANCE/MAINTAIN/REGAIN brain health through proven trainings, self-paced activities and live coaching.

What is Involved:

Participants in this study will:

  1. Get a personal BrainHealth Index (BHI), a composite measure of your brain’s current fitness level.
  2. Have a live virtual feedback session with a trained BrainHealth coach to review the BHI and set goals.
  3. Start training with self-paced online modules to help uncover meaningful ways to make the brain as efficient and dependable as possible.
  4. Meet quarterly with a BrainHealth coach.
  5. Keep getting BHI regularly – every 6 months.

The online training modules show strategies to adopt brain-healthy habits. Each one is typically about 10 minutes long. Participants will get periodic nudges and tips to help practice along the way, with suggested brain healthy habits that generally take about five minutes each.
