About the Study:

This program provides opportunities for caregivers to have short, casual conversations with others on topics outside the role of caregiving, from the comfort of their own home. This study is not meant to replace any ongoing support group participation but is rather intended to be a way for caregivers to attend to their social health and have a brief respite from their caregiving role.

Researchers are testing the benefits of a video-chat social engagement program for caregivers of persons with dementia. Findings from this study will determine the program’s potential impact on caregiver health, including social, emotional, and cognitive health.
