About the Study:

This project will adapt an existing hypertension medication self-management system to develop Medication Education, Decision Support, Reminding, and Monitoring-Memory (MEDSReM-M) to meet the needs and abilities of persons with mild cognitive impairment (PwMCI), and conduct a randomized controlled trial (RCT) to assess medication adherence benefits.

Purpose:

The purpose of the MEDSReM-M RCT is to examine the benefits of MEDSReM-M to support medication self-management in PwMCI.

What is Involved:

Four (4) in-person meetings over 4 months
Smartphone training and medication support
Blood pressure monitoring at home
Financial compensation provided for participation
