About the Study:

The Compass for Care study is a research project designed to develop and test programs for caregivers of family members or friends with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias. Eligible caregivers will be asked to use 1 of 2 online programs and complete online surveys over the course of 9 months. One program focuses on well-being and the other on safety.

Purpose:

The purpose of the Compass for Care study is to test new digital programs to support people who care for a family member or friend with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia.

What is Involved:

Eligible caregivers will be asked to:

  • Complete 4 online surveys during a 9-month period. Each survey should take about 10 minutes.
  • Use an online program, over the course of 3 months. Daily activities take no more than 3 minutes a day and caregivers can choose to complete as few or as many activities as they would like.
  • Read text or email messages daily for 3 months.

The activities and text or email messages are focused on either the topic of well-being or safety. The total time commitment over the 9 months is about 1-3 hours.
