About the Study:

The Autism Brain Aging Laboratory is among the first to study age-related changes in adults with and without autism spectrum disorder (ASD) through neuropsychological evaluations and multi-modal neuroimaging.

This study is recruiting adults WITHOUT ASD to participate as healthy controls to compare to similar participants with ASD.

Purpose:

This study aims to understand aging’s impact on cognition and translate cognitive and brain findings into meaningful interventions for adults with ASD.

These findings will lay the groundwork for a precision medicine approach to predicting and treating neurodegeneration and accelerated cognitive aging in ASD.

Study participation is voluntary and will include:

  • Memory and thinking assessments (3 hours)
  • MRI brain scan (2 hours)
  • Questionnaires

  • Blood collection (optional)
  • Optional questionnaires for a friend or loved one

This study visit will be repeated every 2 years to collect longitudinal data to help better understand brain changes.

Participants will be compensated for each study visit.
