To be considered for this study, particaipants must:
Be an unpaid caregiver of an individual with dementia for at least 6 months
Provide a minimum of 14 hours of caregiving per week
Be over age 40
Live in Arizona
About the Study:
This study aims to
Examine the role that personal social networks play in well-being and resilience for those providing or managing care of someone with Alzheimer’s Disease or related dementia.
To understand the experiences of people who are caring for those living with dementia.
The purpose of this study is to understand which social networks best support unpaid caregivers during their caring for persons with dementia. This is important to identify the actions that build supportive networks for unpaid caregivers.
What is Involved:
This study involves taking part in an interview that asks about your experiences as a caregiver and the role your support networks play. The interview will take place over the phone. It will last approximately 45-55 minutes. You can decline to answer questions, and to stop participation at any time.
