The Synaptic Therapy Alzheimer's Research Trial (START) is a national study funded by the National Institute on Aging (NIA) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). It is conducted by a network of Alzheimer's disease investigators sponsored by Cognition Therapeutics, coordinated by the University of Southern California’s Alzheimer’s Therapeutic Research Institute (ATRI) and in collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Clinical Trials Consortium (ACTC).
