To address the high burden of caring for a Veteran with dementia, the primary purpose of this research program is to study how teaching caregivers about dementia and building their caregiving and self-care skills will impact caregivers and the Veterans they love.

This is a study of adults, who have relatives with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia. This study is trying to determine if the Residential Care Transition Module (RCTM) can reduce stress and help families who care for a cognitively impaired relative living in a residential long-term care environment.
